Fonts
In both the desktop and desktop browser apps, you can increase the font size by zooming in, just as you would with any website in your browser. To zoom in on the desktop app, you would use Ctrl+Shift+Plus and to zoom out, Ctrl+Minus.
In Settings you can also change the font family. Please note, the font settings are "global" and affect the fonts wherever you type. You cannot however select one block of text and change the font.
Formatting
You can select any text and make it bold, italic or underlined. Simply highlight the text, and use the following keyboard commands:
For bold, use the CTRL+B keys
For italic, use the CTRL+I keys
For underline, use the CTRL+U keys
Themes
You can also change the "Theme", which will provide a variation of the look and feel of the font and background colors.
With the Pro membership, you can access more fonts and themes... but please note, the additional themes will only be visible if you are using the desktop or desktop browser apps.
On the mobile apps we currently have the default theme for all users... as well as the dark theme for Pro users.

I would love to be able to bold also @Text or #Text. Can you make it?
I wrote an extension that will format code wrapped in 1 or 3 backticks (like markdown):

Enjoy!
Bold for @Text, #Text and www.addresses please please please!
I would really like to be able to increase font size, or to zoom in. I am using Google Chrome, and WorkFlowy as a Google Chrome app. Why can't I zoom in as I can on web-pages?
I use WF as a Chromebook app as well and find the text quite small on an HD screen. One workaround, Geza, is to enable screen magnification (Settings > Advanced > Accessibility) on your Chromebook then use Ctrl + Alt + Brightness up and Ctrl + Alt + Brightness down to magnify the screen. It's not ideal as the resolution suffers, so an in-app solution would be preferable!
Really like this app and how it works. Helps me clarify my thoughts and ideas.
Just offer a new choice of a font that is larger by nature. Can't be that hard for mobile. When you do this I will never use a task app again.
Apart from the adjustable (individually) font sizes, I think it would be great to have a bigger canvas/sheet/virtual paper as well. I have indents up to 12 levels and at that point, the paragraphs become a narrow column of text its irritating!
Is it just me or do pretty much all the examples in the help videos have a size hierarchy for different layers of indentation? Higher layers seem to have a bigger point size than lower, this looks really helpful. Is this the case? How can we use this?
I would love it if Workflowy could accommodate the Dynamic Type feature in iOS. It really helps in other apps when viewing text. I am speaking for those of us who require reading glasses but don't like to carry them around :-)
I wholeheartedly agree with Bret Bowser's comments about dynamic type. I would love it if Workflowy could accommodate the Dynamic Type feature in iOS. It really helps in other apps when viewing text. Workflowy for iOS is basically unusable for me due to the small font size. I have to use HandyFlowy which is OK for the moment, but when I upgrade to an iPhone X, then unless HandyFlowy is updated for the iPhone X, then I am not sure if HandyFlowy will look/work on this device.
Hi all,
We apologize for the lack of responses in the Zendesk FAQ section for this topic and others. The FAQ's were initially implemented for posting articles, and as Zendesk enabled comment features, we did not have resources and a good system in place for monitoring and following up on comments until now. Please do feel free to log support and feature requests at https://workflowy.zendesk.com and follow our blog at http://blog.workflowy.com for latest developments.
Best,
Sasha
