Move items into the sidebar

You can move items from the current workspace into a different section of your Workflowy by dragging-and-dropping into the sidebar.

Note: You can use the keyboard shortcut Windows (Alt + L), Mac (Ctrl + L) to expand or collapse the sidebar

1. Open the left-hand sidebar
2. Navigate to the section you want to move items into in the sidebar
3. Click and hold the item you want to move in the currently open section of Workflowy
4. Drag that item into the sidebar
   • You'll see a horizontal line that shows where the item will be dropped
5. Release the item

TIP  - If you hold SHIFT on your keyboard and then drag-and-drop an item into the sidebar, then instead of moving an item, you'll create a live copy and drop the copy into the new location.
