Shortcut key to change selection/focus to next and previous sibling
It be great to have a shortcut key that would allow you to change the selected/focused item to the next/previous sibling (without going into or out of an item). It would allow for easier keyboard navigation.
There is an existing shortcut to do something similar (ALT+SHIFT+[0/9]) but it zooms into the item, making it the page root (zoomed) item, which is not so intuitive (at least to me).
An example situation where a shortcut key would work well. Given this list:
- Item1
- SubItem1
- SubItem2
- Item2
If I currently have the Item1 selected, I want to be able to jump to Item2, without having to press down through all expanded items in between, or having to first collapse Item1 then pressing down.
It feels natural that the shortcut key for this would be ALT+[Up/Down], which is not currently assigned and works complementary to the ALT+[Left/Right] to zoom. Pressing this keyboard shortcut would change the selected/focused item to the next/previous sibling. It wouldn't expand/collapse or change which item is the page root (zoomed). It would allow for easier keyboard navigation over expanded lists.
