Problem assigning a link to bullet
I have never seen this issue before --
1. Create a new empty bullet
2. Paste a link into this bullet.
The line of the bullet stays blank, and the pasted link is dropped one line below.
- Bullet 1
- Bullet 2
http://some link to Youtube
This only seems to be happening with YouTube links.
If I do the same in the web version it looks good, however the desktop version still displays incorrectly.
I am using:
Mac OS Monterey 12.5.1
Workflowy Version 1.4.977 (1.4.977.383)
Embed video in settings is off.
Would you try uninstalling your desktop app and then downloading and installing again?:
I am seeing something similar. I've uninstalled Workflowy and reinstalled it (version 22.08.23.0950 not the Beta release). I've made a short Loom that demonstrates the issue I see. Feel like it's related to what David has raised.
(After the video, I set Vim to show non-printing chars and none appeared at the start of that URL line)
Hi Workflowy and everyone else,
I've had a quick look into this and have found that the issue seems to be with the CSS. An element has been set to:
display: block !important;
When it should not be. Bear in mind I don't have access to the codebase (of course), so there may be other complexities other than what I can see when inspecting the element in my browsers. I also took a before and after screenshot to help demonstrate what I am talking about (the yellow arrows point to the relevant parts):
As you can see, by commenting out the display as block parameter, the YouTube link is now correctly aligned to the bullet. Please have a look at this Workflowy devs and I hope that this might be a simple fix for the issue.
By the way, I love your product and could not live without it! But I am waiting for the day when we can add code blocks for our notes as well.
The team found the bug and it should be fixed on beta:
... and beta.workflowy.com
The production rlease should be on Tuesday :-)
