    Hi Steve,

I am pushing for this to be addressed. In real time.

    Hi,

the real problem is that a mirrored item is found only once. Apparently, the first occurrence is found.

In the above example the first one is completed, that's why it is not shown. But at least '1 completed' is displayed below and we can turn on the completed ones. So this is a work-around for completed items.

But even if all mirrors are not completed, still the first one is found only and there is no chance to find the other mirrors unless we detach all of them. Work-around: Use Internal links instead of mirrors.

    Regards, Zoltan

It's by design that only one of a set of mirrors participates in a set of search results. That was a surprise to me but I can imagine it's a preferable behaviour in some cases. Anyway I understand that they intend to make it user selectable behaviour which I think is the right choice. Turning on the hypothetical "return all mirrors in search" feature would certainly also work around this bug, which is clearly in the de-duplication code and is presumably not straightforward to fix as the desired behaviour changes according to whether show completed is on or off.
Note that in my example, the bullet I want returned is not itself completed; it's an ancestor of its first mirror that is complete

This is now fixed! Thanks devs, cookies all round (or an afternoon playing CS, whichever you prefer)  I noticed it in the desktop app then saw the announcement email.  I feel the relief in my body that I don't have to double-check every time I mark a large bullet as done, whether it contains any mirrors.
