Function "move to |destination|" on the menu
Hi everyone !
Context :
Sometimes it can be hard to moove an element to a bullet that is burried deeeeeep down into a nested list (and even harder when this specific bullet is in a completely other list, nested in it of course...)
On desktop it "doable", but it's still a bit complex, but on mobile, it's just not doable.
Of course we could "((" to appeal the file but i think my solution would be waaaay more convenient (it's the way things works on Google Drive so i think it's a good idea UX wise :p)
The function :
The goal would be to be able to click on the menu, and then have this action been offered in the menu amongst every other actions
1. Open the menu
2. Select 'Move to'
3. Have a sub-menu window displaying a nav with a tree architecture of every head bullet points
4. Being able to navigate into it with this little right arrow
5. Being able to create a new bullet (or not)
6. Pressing the button "move here"
After doing the explanation with images, i think it looks a lot like the following process :
1. Open the menu
2. "miror (live copy)"
3. move to the location where yo uwant to drop it
4. 'Paste'
5. Come back to the original location
6. Delete
But i think it would be really more intuitive and also it would kill steps 5 and 6 that are not needed for this context.

I felt that this was the best option because on mobile the drag and drop is really a hurdle, especially while you try to drag and drop on a tab between columns.
That's true that i could use "((" but i feel like there will still be 2 steps leftthat are not really necessary...
Let me know what you think ! :)

This was on my list of improvements so I'm happy you beat me to it! Google Drive 'move' functionality was a good example of what would be ideal. After over 6 months of using Workflowy daily, its hard not to use it like a Drive with folders/documents (bullets = folders/documents in this case).
Like you mentioned, its totally possible to workaround currently, but would make life SO much easier if implemented - especially on mobile!!
