Am I using the tagging feature correctly?

    Hi Michael!

Fairly soon we may have a feature that does what you're looking for: a global search for a specific tag or otherwise in a single node... but for now, the way it works is that when clicking on a tag, it will only filter for those items nested within the same outline... so in the above case, you will want to place your tag index at a higher level (and not zoom into the tag index). As an example... try placing the same tags on your home page and try a search... you'll see how it works...

Ah! Putting them directly on the home page worked.

Its not a deal breaker, but it is admittedly somewhat annoying. I try to keep my home pages near and tidy, and being able to nest those lists inside another bullet would help with that. :)

Thanks for the prompt reply, Frank.

    Hi Michael,

You don't necessarily have to have them on your home page... just high enough in your task list that all tagged tasks are under them...

A suggestion might be to pop your tags in a note just under "All Tasks". To get into your note area, hit Shift+Enter...

Ah! Thank you for clarifying that, Frank. I tried it and that worked. Thank you for the tip!

Those tags at the top (in the note) remind me slightly of how a filter works in Excel. Not the same thing, of course, but similar outcome..
