Coloured tags in Shared Lists
I've recently come to realize that shared lists does not show the colour of tags, but somehow shows if a text is coloured or highlighted. I wonder why its set up in such way and if there is a plan to fix it.

Thank you for the explanation Frank. I understand the design decision, however, doesn't it kind of beats the purpose of why we have colours in tags and mentions, which is to see them easier?
Not sure if people would agree but, wouldn't it be better if in shared lists the colour scheme of mentions follow the colour scheme of the person who shared the list with others? I want to use WF in light Project Management for its simplicity, but when I try to share my list with mentions/people associated with task, it looks not as intuitive and not easy on the eyes because the colours are gone.
I want to give an example from a very different app, WhatsApp. In group chats you are randomly given a color to your name, which aids in following the conversation easier. Same persons in two group chats (lets say "Mike") would be a different color in another group, but that colouring differentatiation still does the job of making it easier to follow the conversation for anyone. And if there wasn't any color, it would definitely be much harder to follow, such as my experience in WF shared lists
I'd love to hear other users opinion on this.
Thanks!

Correct... but there may be a conflict when using in shared lists... and so the person with whom you are sharing is now free to use the colors they'd like for specific tags...

We decided it would be better the route we went... because very often people have their own tags with a certain color that would conflict with your exact same tag... if they have blue... do your tags change to blue?... or if you have green... do their tags change to green? Thus, the dilemma and the design decision,

The dynamics with tags are entirely different... because nobody else is going to be using your name. In a shared list, whose color tag will prevail? I think you may be overlooking the fact that others may certainly have the same tags as you. An overlap.
