    Hi Dylan,

How are you creating your templates? Are your hitting the "+New" template button or pasting in code?

What platform/ device/ browser are you using? I'm not able to reproduce loss of formatting (color, typographical emphases, etc.) in Chrome...

I hit the "+New" button. It is reproducable in Safari browser, chrome, the Mac and iOS app.

Sorry I see the problem now. The formatting on the top level bullet is removed. I assume this is because you replace the text manually of the top bullet. I did have a use case whereby I wanted the formatting to persist but I can see now why it doesn't.

Actually, I think it would be really helpful to be able to set the formatting for top level bullet. I have a meeting template that I like to incorporate into a time boxing style view of my day, with bullets for every half hour. I'd like to be able to add meetings but for the meeting headers to be a different color, so I can see at a glance which items are meetings and which items aren't.

+1 on the top level bullet formatting being retained - it helps differentiate the bullet and I expected that behavior when setting up the template
