    Hi Mark,

Notes have always been this way from the beginning by default because users have wanted it this way. It is useful to them. True, a small handful of users would like notes to be always expanded... and we will consider this as a toggle in the future.

    For now, you can...

    1. Click in the note area to expand notes

    2. Zoom into a bullet to see notes under the header

    3. Use bullets instead of notes to have everything permanently expanded

I've tried these other options and they do not work. Let me provide a reference:

    1. There is nothing 'flowy' about tapping into and out of every data store. Hiding information goes against the very name of the product itself, it is very bad for brainstorming and story blocking
    2. Zooming into a bullet means you can't see 'the big picture' of boards view
    3. Bullets add clutter and compresses the text (especially rough in 'boards' view)

Please please make this optional. I do a lot of story blocking work and what could be an amazing layout for doing so (Boards view) is severely knee-capped by this weird and obtrusive "feature".

Just look at how nice that third column looks!! Don't you just wanna dive in for hours and brainstorm? Cause I do.

    Hi Mark,

We have this on a list of features to consider (a toggle option for notes to expand/ collapse)

True, this does make more sense in board mode where columns are restricted... I've asked the team to consider this based off of your comparison in board mode. It looks great.

My dude, thank you. I was having trouble conveying how much this throws me off in boards mode.

Thank you for hearing me out.

Stating the obvious: notes are also a great place to hide things that you don't need to see and gobs of long text that I wouldn't want to see on a daily basis... so the toggle option needs to be at a granular level (per task or at a task and sub task like expand/contract all)

I'm even experimenting with hiding tags in notes so I don't have to see them unless searched for... So please be careful not to take away current functionality (which I suspect you won't but sometimes it just needs to be said LOL)

    @Mitch

Definitely! Everyone uses this program in their own unique way, so it makes sense to leave it up to the user to decide however best suits their needs.
