    Hi Matthew,

This is a bit tricky... because there are many users who are now needing apostrophes to be part of tags. Especially in some non-English languages. Would it be possible to create a space before adding your apostrophe? @joe 's

That might work going forward but I have a whole history of this kind of mentions this change broke. (Also, a lesser concern but, it looks pretty bad.) I've always used Twitter-style usernames for these mentions which seemed so safe. I wish this would have been implemented differently. For example, @[O'Brien] to include things that normally break the word.

Could apostrophe-s endings be special cased? I'm not sure if/how often that appears in other languages.

    Hi Matthew,

You make absolute sense. I've created another ticket to push this with the developers. Let's see if this can get some traction.

I understand your pain. But, for example, apostrophes are used in many words in Ukrainian (which is my native language).

Yeah, I understand that Vitalii. The issue is that this broke with conventions long established with @ mentions on other platforms, and in doing so, broke existing mentions in Workflowy. I hope there's a solution that will make everybody happy.

I did make a suggestion for the developers. We already have a "rich tags" feature toggle. My suggestion was to include apostrophes in this feature (so they can be toggled on/ off) and exclude emojis from the Rich tags feature toggle... and have emoji tags enabled for everyone... since it is highly unlikely to accidentally create emoji tags. I.e. it's pusposeful when people creat emoji tags. Let's see what they say...

Vitalii, several of our developers are from the Ukraine or live in Ukraine... that's how apostrophes ended up in tags :-)

Unexpected, but incredibly nice to hear!
