    Saludos

the message didn't allow me to upload the video showcasing the clicking vertical lines explanation.
So I uploaded to Dropbox, here's the link: Expand/Collapse nodes until until certain level

    Max,

You can zoom into a list (keep your cursor in the title) and use Ctrl+Up/Down to collapse/expand all levels incrementally and simultaneously.

I'm not sure that steps 1-4 are necessary. Just 1-2. Double click the arrow to expand or collapse all. You can also use Ctrl+Double Space.

These have all been working for over 10 years. Works great.

Also... live and let emoji. You are free to keep your emojis to yourself if you must 😉

    Frank,

"You can zoom into a list (keep your cursor in the title) and use Ctrl+Up/Down to collapse/expand all levels incrementally and simultaneously."

↳ But that only works if you are zoomed in a node. If you are not zoomed in, and place the cursor on a node that is not the title of the page, it only will collapse/expand the first level; not the rest of the deeper nested nodes :(

I'm not sure that steps 1-4 are necessary. Just 1-2. Double click the arrow to expand or collapse all. You can also use Ctrl+Double Space.

↳ Those steps are necessary when not all the nodes are already collapsed or all already expanded to begin with, it won't work otherwise because the first time it will only apply to the exceptions to make them all expanded.

↳ Also having to navigate to the mouse to the bullet when you are writing/reading it's quite annoying, that's why I'm asking for a native shortcut to such a crucial action. Even with the mouse clicking on the bullet it won't work recursively on my end if I am not zoomed in that node (being that node the title of the page).

↳ And Ctrl+Double Space doesn't work on Mac. Neither does Ctrl+Space or Command+Double Space or Command+Space because those triggers the native MacOS Spotlight Search. So, no, I cannot make it work that way, either, either.

"These have all been working for over 10 years. Works great."

↳ Then why aren't they working on my computers!? Could you help me solve this, please? I use the Collapse all / Expand all constantly and it's annoying not having a keyboard shortcut for quicky toggling between them.

"Also... live and let emoji. You are free to keep your emojis to yourself if you must"

↳ Sorry, I hate clutter, congestion, bad use of colour, and visual noise. I like minimalism, and simple, direct, straight solutions that work to the point. I found emojis and bad color use are often more distracting and cluttering than helpful and functional. I do like plain text format and some black and wight ISO characters like ❖ ⨳ ⨇ ⧱ ◬ ⩏ ⋒ ⍾ though ;)
