I currently have a setup like this:

- Journal
    - Fri, Oct 1, 2021 
        - Stuff
    - ...
- Calendar
    - Fri, Oct 1, 2021 
    - ...

It would be cool to be able to mirror the Journal entry for each day into the Calendar item for each day, but with the title of the parent node. So like this:

- Journal
    - Fri, Oct 1, 2021 
        - Stuff
    - ...
- Calendar
    - Fri, Oct 1, 2021 
        - Journal (this is a mirror of 'Journal > Fri, Oct 1, 2021')
            - Stuff
    - ...

Adding the mirror manually would be nice, but I guess it could also be possible to actually have the Journal entries in the Calendar entries. Then the top-level Journal item can be a "Reverse Index" which displays the Journal entries of each Calendar entry like above. So like this:

- Journal (automated reverse index)
    - Fri, Oct 1, 2021 (mirrors 'Calendar > Fri, Oct 1, 2021 > Journal')
        - Stuff
    - ...
- Calendar
    - Fri, Oct 1, 2021 
        - Journal
            - Stuff
    - ...

  I think what you're looking for is what we have planned... a feature called "Search nodes"... which will allow one to set a search query for a specific node... and that can be done for dates or date ranges too :-)
