#copy tag not added to duped node from under mirror
I mirror some nodes for easy access in the context of managing my daily to-do lists. I will call one of these nodes "Node W" for the original node, and then "Node W^m" for the mirror.*
(In fact, visually, I can't distinguish the nodes this way. But I know which one I created first and which was added via mirroring. Also, the tagging behavior is different as I will explain.) (Oh, actually, it looks like you have a term for this, the mirror "source". W is the source, W^m the mirror.)
When I dupe a child node through access to W, the duped node dutifully adds a `#copy` tag.
When I dupe the child node through access to W^m, it refuses to add the tag. (It also sticks out its tongue at me, but I assume this is a feature.)
This does *not* happen with the mirrored node itself. Whether I dupe W or W^m, the duplicate node has the `#copy` tag.
Apologies if this has been reported before.

I can confirm this Workflowy behavior—same thing happens in my beta-activated paid account.
Possibly not as intended as you imply, but interesting way to duplicate without the tag: Make the copy in a mirror reflection instead of in a mirror source. You could set up a mirror reflection as a "copy machine" filled with nodes commonly copied, without needing to delete the tag.
