Copied dates from other softwares do not show up on search
Hi,
I make my own year calendar on workflowy using excel and transfer the text via copy paste with the same format as workflowy below
- Tue, Mar 9, 2021 - copied from excel
However, when I try to search for say "Mar", all these copied dates for mar do not show up on the MAIN PAGE and only shows on the SEARCH DROPDOWN. all that shows on the MAIN PAGE are dates of the past year such as day, Mar d, year such as Sun, Mar 1, 2020 and all other dates of march last year.
As I investigated how this may happen. I found out that when writing a date and let workflowy autopopulate it, then it shows up on the search results such as below.
- Tue, Mar 9, 2021 -- copied and pasted from another software such as excel (SHOWS ON THE SEARCH BOX DROPDOWN ONLY)
- make another line below to test the occurrence
- Tue, Mar 9, 2021 --auto-populated by workflowy - (SHOWS UP ON THE MAIN PAGE AS WELL)
I am not sure if all the month's first 3 letters such as Jan, Feb, Mar,-- to Dec, are locked on the search option to target month dates and once inputted on the search bar will only recognize date months initiated by the workflowy software. Is this the case?
I've been trying to find a way to combine all SAME dated entries sucn as with deadlines to the their respective date in the calendar to easily spot bottlenecks or hectic days.
I guess I am trying to search for same dates quickly so I can combine them all and edit and re-allocate them.
Thanks

Hi Raquel,
The date feature (which can be disable in your Settings menu) basically hijacks the "regular" search for "mar", etc... anything related to a recognized date/ period using natural language... and what it does is search for underlined date strings (activated by typing a date and hitting Tab).
If you'd like to search for all instances of "Mar" you'll have to enclose your search string in quotes for an exact match.
