How can I force Gmail links to open in an already opened Gmail tab in Chrome?

Have you noticed that when we paste the link of a gmail message in a tab that already has gmail opened, the browser doesn't reload the entire gmail, but goes straight to the message?

I was thinking if there's a way to force chrome to load the link in Workflowy in the thab that gmail is already opened.

Anyone knows if I can do that?
