Shortcut to move bullets horizontally between boards
Hi there amazing WorkFlowyers! With boards working like a charm, it would be sooooo helpful to also have shortcuts that allow moving bullets horizontally between boards (precisely, a move left and move right shortcut similar to the existing move up/down shortcuts). Thanks in advance for your consideration and keep up the great work!

Yes. This would be super useful to move tasks from one status to another in a kanban board, or to move items around in a comparison table, etc.
As we are already used to Command + Shift + Up/Down Arrow to move bullets vertically on the list view…
Wouldn't just make sense to move bullets horizontally with Command + Shift + Right/Left Arrow while in board view?
I found myself trying this out in each update to see if it was already implemented… am I too naive? :p

Hi Frank,
It seems strange to me that people use Cmd+Shift+Left/Right for indenting and outdenting when this is also achieved with tab and shift-tab, which is the intuitive way to do it. (And the way it works in all similar outline apps).
Then, if indenting/outdating is achieved with tab/shift+tab, we can use the Cmd+Shift+Arrows for another specific needed behavior… as moving bullets from one column to another while on board view? :)
Just adding an idea to what you said.
Thanks for answering anyway!

Hi folk,
This is a tricky one, but it is logged for the team to discuss.
Boards are a different arrangement of lists... and technically Cmd+Shift+Left/Right are for indenting and outdenting... which would keep items in the same column and not move them to parallel parent sibling lists (if they were lists). So it's not as easy as the suggestion sounds... but we are thinking about it.

Hi Max,
One man's "strange" is another man's treasure. Alt+Shift+Left/ Right/ Up/ Down go together like four of an octopuse's tentacles. Many people like to use them in tamdem.
Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right is used for text selection pretty much everywhere. So that's not going to be possible.
We do understand your reasoning.
What I was trying to explain is that We can't use Alt+Shift+Left/Right to move cards to adjacent columns in boards because it would not follow the same logic as Alt+Shift+Left/Right in regular lists. We've had these specific keyboard shortcuts for over a decade.
If we were to implement a keyboard shortcut to move between columns, the most realistic scenario would be for us to have configurable keyboard shortcuts, besides creating another unique keyboard shortcut for moving cards between boards.
I'm not debating you. Just reporting where we're at.
~Frank
