New Bullet Points Appear in All Searches

    Hi Tanya,

    Where are you seeing this? Mobile/ desktop/ browser app? Have you tried logging out and back in again to see if this helps... or in the case of the app, uninstalling/ deleting and then reinstalling?

    Hi Frank! This happens on web browsers (currently on Chrome). I logged out and in again but that doesn't resolve the problem. Any bullets I create still appear in all search results about 1-3 days after creation which makes my bullet lists messy (and unfortunately defeats the purpose of searchable bullets).

    I am also seeing search results where some of the bullets in the result do *not* contain the search string.  I didn't draw the connection that Tanya made with the new-ness of the bullet but sure enough the bullets that do not contain the search string are all from the last few days.

    I'm seeing this in the web browser app (on Firefox).

    Logging out and back in seems to have solved the issue.

    Logging out and back in (on Chrome) works for me initially too, but the same problem reappears as soon as I create new bullets after logging back in.

    I also cleared all cache, cookies, site settings etc and that didn't resolve the issue either.

    I'm having a couple of hectic weeks and my to do list is now difficult to follow because these new bullets disappear only after a few days. I shouldn't have to log out and back in again all the time to temporarily resolve this issue.

    Any update on this?

    Note: I also tried Workflowy on Internet Explorer but the entire browser freezes as soon as I use the search field. This has been a problem for months and workflowy told me to simply switch to Chrome. This is my work computer so I'm only allowed to use Chrome or Internet Explorer. Because I access almost all work-related systems via Chrome, I'd still like to use workflowy on Chrome.

    (My apologies if I sound stressed. These two weeks have been my most hectic weeks in 2020. I appreciate all the work you put into making Workflowy work 😊)

    Hi Tanya and John,

    This is a recognized bug that can be reproduced by anyone and we're working on it :-)

    Basically anything you add while in search mode will show up in any subsequent search. Nasty bug.

    This should be fixed already, I believe. Would you take a look on beta.workflowy.com? I think all that's needed now is a release :-)
