    Hi Nick,

What do you mean by Portable? A mobile app? If so, you should be able to download WorkFlowy via the Google Play store or the iOS App Store.

Huh. Isn't the desktop app electron based? If it is you should be able to load the exe onto a flashdrive and just open it from there. However, this becomes a whole different request if you want the files stored on the drive as well. Then you're localizing and exposing what I can only assume is proprietary WorkFlowy stuff.

Aaah, yes... I remember using portable apps over a decade ago...

    Wouldn't workflowy.com fit the bill?

Either way, this is a rather unique request. First I've seen. If we get about 10,000 +1's on this thread then I will advocate for this feature with the CEO.

Would this be something that could be run completely locally? Say, in the event that (heaven forbid) Workflowy's servers cease to be?

That would actually be pretty amazing.

There are more reasons to be happy to have full offline access to a desired solution.

For example if you happen to work offline. Be in a region without internet access. And when you are back into the "civilization", the app syncs automatically.

    cheers

Frank it's just a one time work, N Not very hard also
You just have to configure app, to store cache locally
Any update from ur side, will happen automatically in portable app (Because ur app has capability to update automatically)
No extra effort would be required on every release,
It will be a boon, trust me
Why not try Chrome portable, Telegram portable

    Its not an offline thing,
Can't you ppl search on Google before making comments here
Portable app doesn't uses appdata folder of C:// drive like normal workflowy setup
Hence I can have two workflowy running on my desktop easily (as cache will be stored in local folder for portable app)
I ask of this, because currently multi window instance/multi account is not currently supported
portable apps are very easy to make, if makers allow it, even I can make it, using external software
It will work "online" like normal workflowy
To get hint- You can use telegram portable
