Delete a read-only share list

I downloaded a shared list, but no longer wantr to keep it, but I can't find a way to delete it. I can move it so I don't see it unless I look for it, but for the sake of neatness I'd really prefer to delete.

  On desktop, click the ⋯ icon (to the left of the bullet) > Remove
  
  On mobile, swipe the item Right to Left > Delete

  I should have known there was a way. And that it would be obvious when I was shown it. Doh! It was one of those things where I couldn't get my thinking out of its box. Thank you for your swift and effective help
