Allowing Text Expansion on the macOS app!
I’m wondering why native macOS text expansion feature (Preference → Keyboard → Text) doesn’t work in the Mac app. This is more curios because iOS and iPadOS apps are allowing it.
To elaborate a bit, macOS has a native text expansion feature and it’s pretty handy and the list syncs between iOS and macOS, so you can set a expansion like `,,rarr` to be expanded to `→` which is handy. But, for some reason this doesn’t work on macOS. I’m guessing that this is related to some Electron setting somewhere. I think it’d be very nice to allow it on macOS too.

Oh, I suffer from this unavailability, too. I always believed it was not possible to achieve these shortcuts/OSTextExpansion in the WF Mac app. Which is weird because it works in almost every other place, and also works in the WF web version! but not on the desktop.
Isn't the app supposed to update automatically? I've just wanted to check what version I am running but couldn't find that info. Neither doesn't seem to be an option to manually update it.So, I guess I will download the current app from the WF page and install it again on my OSX hoping the new version replaces the old one.

Hi Amir,
Oh, I see. Let's hope this is fixed soon, then!
Same as you, I have many Unicode specific glyphs assigned to intuitive global shortcuts.
For instance, I constantly use these in my note-taking system: → ⟶ ⟿ ⟹ ↳ ↔︎ ← ⟵ ⎘ ⚭ ✕ ⁂ ⚠︎⌇etc. depending on the kind of information, status or relationship between them. So I have assigned them very easy and memorable 2-keystrokes combination shortcuts. Its a pity they do not work in WF.
Thanks for answering!
Cheers,
M.
