Unwanted date interpretations

I really like the dates feature, but am having more trouble with it lately. I don't know if this reflects a recent change, or if I am just using it in new ways. The problems are both about over-interpreting surrounding text as part of a date, and deactivating dates when I edit other parts of a line.

For example, here's a dated ToDo line I have been trying to enter

#todo Set up MIDI today [where I want 'today' to be today's date, and accept the date by hitting Tab]

What I get is

#todo Set up Sun, Apr 5, 2020 at 12:00pm

Somehow the word MIDI is being interpreted as noon and as part of the date. If I put a dash after the MIDI, then it wants to interpret it as a date range starting at noon. I eventually could defeat it and still get a date interpretation of today only by spelling MIDI as 'M I D I'.

Hi Tim,

You are quite correct! The issue here is that "Midi" is "Midday" in French... and the date feature recognizes phrases in Spanish, English and French (at least)... so that would explain the dilemma with MIDI

We're hoping to polish this moving forward.

Hi, is there a way to have the dates added in other language formats. For example in Spanish the format is dd/mm/yyyy
