Coloring in left bar

The left bar is fantastic. I'm really lovin' it.

Enhancement request: Be able to color nodes in the left bar. For example, I'd like to color financial-related nodes green, and urgent/needs attention nodes as red, frequent/favorite nodes as blue, etc. This would really help my eyes find/jump to node(s) I'm interested in at any given time.

Thanks for considering. I know it is hard to prioritize all the feature requests.

  color nodes - and not just in the left bar - would be fantastic to highlight important information

  Bold, italics or underline are sometime not enough to attract attention when scrolling through a list.

  Hi Franco,

  We are absolutely planning on building color into WorkFlowy very soon! That's a given... but color in the left bar would be an interesting one to see how that should play out...

  I was thinking a little more about this today, and perhaps a smaller, easier to implement request would be to honor text formatting in the left bar. For example, if I have nodes in Bold/Italic/Unerline in the tree, honor that formatting in the left bar. Hopefully this is a smaller request for the team to tackle, and would still provide a huge usability enhancement.

  Hi Michael,

  Thank you for the suggestion! Although, I would add that it's not the size of the ease of a project that gets the team to work on something. It's more what they're currently engaged in... and we're building some pretty kick-butt features at the moment :-).

  Re: color... once we open Pandora's box, this should enable color across more than just bullets.
