iPadOS gripes again
I'll preface this by saying how awesome I think WorkFlowy is generally.
Unfortunate therefore that I regard the iPadOS version as close to unuseable, and certainly not trustable in its current form. I say this because of the number of times I've gone to use it in meetings and during conversations, and have been unable to capture text effectively.
It's launching now, which is something, but the latest foobah was how the left bar prevents top level bullets being active, so I can choose either to have the left bar active, or access the top level bullets.
The expand/collapse graphics on the right hand side at the moment are almost illegible. 50+ year old eyesight doesn't help, but the right- and down-facing arrow icons are almost indistinguishable.
Still feels like a substantial upgrade is needed...

I totally agree. I just started with workflowy a few weeks ago, I use mostly on both IPad OS and IPhone IOS and the recent update is really taking this app in the wrong direction and is very clearly not through through at all. The expand / collapse graphics are unreadable to me too and I don’t need glasses. The quick add function (with the round circle with cross in it) at the bottom right of the screen has been removed, so now I have to scroll all the way down the home screen to find something at the bottom left side just to add/input a new line of text. Pointless and disappointing that changes like this are even taking place as they are obviously not well thought through and this does not inspire confidence if your updates make the app worse. Sorry to be so scathing, but I was just about to subscribe but I will refrain until or unless you can correct these silly errors.

Here's my top level view on the iPad. I can't zoom in to any of the bullets, because the area on the left of the screen doesn't respond to anything. I can't activate the left menu by touching the triple line icon either. When I'm in one level deeper, the "Home" on the navigation bar doesn't respond either.
What I have to do to activate the screen is to to cursor onto the end of one of the longer lines ("overwatch" is long enough, "inbox" isn't). This activates the cursor, from where I can use key commands to zoom in.
If I try to zoom in using the bullet, I get the left/star menu. Swiping that away leaves the cursor inactive.
In addition to being tiny and illegible (for me) the expand/collapse arrows are obviously so far away from their corresponding bullet that it's hard to see which line the arrows refer to.
Zooming out using key commands is tedious - I have to reactivate the cursor at every level.
I trust I'm indicating the degree of friction which is inevitable using WF on the iPad currently. I wish it were not necessary to do so...
