Slow syncing
Has anyone else experienced slow syncing since last night?
Last night (on the web interface) I got a popup that said my changes could not be sync'ed and that I my changes would be saved locally and sync'ed later. Eventually it went away, but I have never seen that before.
Then I checked on mobile (Android), and it hadn't pulled down the changes I made on the web (even after the web sync'ed to the server). Android said it had last sync'ed hours ago. Given that there is no way to force the mobile app to sync (e.g. pull server changes down locally), I had to wait it out until it decided to sync and pull my web changes down to mobile.
This slowness seems entirely new. Generally Workflowy syncs instantly in my experience on both web and Android. For example, when I start the mobile app, it immediately pulls down server changes. Now it seems to take its time.
Is the server having overload issues at the moment?
I guess a related request is to provide a way to force the mobile app to sync. Most apps use a "pull to refresh" style of gesture of swiping down from the top to force a sync. Without this, what is the background interval between syncs on mobile?
Thanks! I know you guys are hard at work on new features, so I hope this isn't a major distraction.

Hi Michael,
Having to wait for a sync on mobile is uncharacteristic... and definitely not related to server overload... Is the sync still delayed for you?
Have you accessed the Settings area where you should be able to see a green sync status bar at the bottom? You should also find a "Save again" option/ link to the right of the status.

Hi Frank,
Thanks for the response. I don't have a green sync status bar. I only have a gray bar that says "Autosaved 17 hours ago". I don't have a "Save again" option unless it is somewhere else the app that I'm not currently seeing?
I'm attaching a screenshot of my Android app that shows what I see.
And, yes, it's still not syncing quickly today. After I took the screenshot, a few minutes later, then it sync'ed. But definitely not instantly like what I remember.
Michael
