Zooming out should be cursor-agnostic!
AnsweredIf no node is cursored, WorkFlowy has no way of knowing which node to zoom in on, if the zoom in key command is pressed. That's logical - the node should be manually selected in this case, or the bullet simply clicked on to zoom in on it.
However, when I want to zoom out from a level, I should be able to enter the zoom out key command, and have WorkFlowy display me the parent level, whether or not a node is cursored.
It really bugs me having to select a node arbitrarily just to be able to tell WF I want to zoom out, when the level that is being displayed is de facto the selected level.
I know I can simply click on a menu bar location to select the level I want to go to, but if there is a way of forcing WF to zoom out with key commands even when no node is cursored, that would be awesome : )

Hi Adam,
I might be missing it here... but are you talking about being able to simply use a keyboard shortcut to zoom out of the currently zoomed-in list, up to the next level?
What I think might be happening to you on occasion (as it does with me) is that there are certain keys that kill cursor focus and place the focus on the browser tab as opposed to WorkFlowy. What does it for me is "Alt"... and when cursor focus is lost, the zoom-out keyboard shortcut no longer works... which means I have to focus my cursor somewhere/ anywhere so as to be able to use any keyboard shortcuts.
If I'm not way off track... what I've found helps is hitting the Escape key to gain cursor focus again and then use whatever keyboard shortcut.

I wish to join Brother Adam in the resistance and fight The Man on this one.
There are all sorts of situations where WorkFlowy kills cursor focus. For starters, when you start WorkFlowy there is no cursor focus. Anytime you open a dialog, and then close it: Export, Share, Settings, etc focus is lost. And yes sometimes, it is self inflicted and not WorkFlowy's fault.
WorkFlowy seems to remember focus as you navigate around which is good, except this includes remembering "no focus" too. You can play this game going back and forward in history. Use the back/forward arrows (or keyboard shortcuts if you are fortunate enough to HAVE them)... go back and forth between 3 pages... all with focus... then click WorkFlowy's background to remove focus in one. Now when you nav back and forth this click page has lost focus for good.
What would be nice is for WorkFlowy to check for focus at each page launch, and if it isn't there, set focus to the parent or first child. This would keep the keyboarder hordes from storming the WorkFlowy gates with pitchforks. :)

@rawbytz - it's only a matter of time before the agents assimilate you 😎. They got to Frank and you're next.
I can already hear the sound of inevitability...

Then you'll be The Man too 😱
And I'll be the only one cursing the cursor 😭
