wfy & file links
Hi,
wfy is great for task or product break down. However a fair bit of my work is the production of Word or Excel files on a PC. As I understand it, wfy cannot link to those files so that if I follow the link then Word opens & I can work on the file.
Am I right?
If so how are others getting around this? At present I find it is sufficient to keep a list of pointers in OneNote, which then open the application.
Thanks

I create a link to a file in Windows Explorer by holding Shift, right-click and then 'Copy as Path'. Then I paste this link into Workflowy.
Using the following PhraseExpress shortcut:
{#CTRL -chars a}{#CTRL -chars c}{#LWIN -chars r}{#CTRL -chars v}{#ENTER}
and setting Ctrl Alt F to trigger the shortcut, means that if I click in the link in Workflowy, click Ctrl Alt F, the file then opens.
HTH
