Symbolic Links

Within Workflowy, it would be amazing to have Symbolic Links so you can display/edit a list in multiple locations linking back to a master source node.

For example:

- Subject A
- List A
- List Item 1
- List Item 2
- Sublist Item 1
- List Item 3
- List B
- Subject B
-Category A
- <List A>
- List Item 1
- List Item 2
- Sublist Item 1
- List Item 3

In the example above, List A has been symbolically linked under Subject B > Category A. Changing "List Item 3" in either location will be changing the source data in List A, and will reflect the changes in both the master/source location and any symbolically linked locations.

This allows you to consolidate data views that potentially need to be referenced in multiple locations. Right now you're forced to either create links between them (restricting you from viewing them in the larger picture) or create duplicate lists (preventing them from dynamically updating with any changes and potentially leading to data drift between them).

With that in place, you could expand this to allow for references to sub-data within symbolic links allowing for very dynamic lists like this:

- Food Storage
- Freezer
- Ice Cream x 1
- Refrigerator
- Steak x 2
- Chicken x 1
- Pantry
- Box of Crackers x 1
- Bread x 1
- Meal Planning
- Available Ingredients:
<Freezer #contents> <Refrigerator #contents> <Pantry #contents>
- Ice Cream x 1
- Steak x 2
- Chicken x 1
- Box of Crackers x 1
- Bread x 1

With those two levels of symbolic linking, you could easily consolidate multiple lists (like the food example) or reference lists in another location (like the generic example), greatly expanding on the number of use cases for workflowy.

Hey Brandon, You may want a look at older requests because this feature has been asked quite many different times with sooo many different tittle subjects and explanations, but all requesting the same functionality at the end.

Please take a look further away and please vote up those request that already has many votes so the WF team consider it implementing it faster :)
