Chrome extension text expanders not creating new bullets?

I've been trying to use a chrome extension based text expander such as Prokeys or Auto Text Expander in Workflowy but I'm not getting the right results.

The issue I am running into is that Workflowy is taking expanded snippets and concatenating them onto one line.

So for example, I might have a days of the week snippet

Monday
Tuesday...

That gets inserted into WorkFlowy with new lines instead of new bullets. It looks like

* Monday
 Tuesday
 Wednesday...

About a second later, the text changes to:
* MondayTuesdayWednesday...

I've tried putting in paragraph tags, break tags, extra lines, but haven't had any success. Any ideas?
