IOS starred list empty on occasion

Problem on Iphone 6 plus, IOS latest update. 

a few times a day my starred lists appear empty and it suggests I create them.  (hasn't happened today)

Fine on Ipad.

  Thanks, we'll look into this. If you reload do the starred items appear correctly?

  It wasn't no. I would close the application (swipe it up) and reopen and the same issue. But it would just correct itself at some point during the day. It hasn't actually done it in the last 2 days.
