zoom animations - opinion

I'm finding the current zoom animations kinda freaky... 🤪

For me, it's too wobbly and jumpy, which makes it distracting - it draws attention to itself, and attention overhead is prime Workflowy currency. When I see it, I'm like "what were they thinking?!?".

You can't please everyone, but for me, the fewer bells and whistles like that the better: the crucial thing with WF to my thinking is that it is plain, simple, and a bit boring - in other words, a highly predictable, stable, and trustable system. Hewing to its original spartan roots as a basic interface (whatever hideable new features are added down the line) supports this. By allowing us to focus on output, the simplicity is then its own killer feature. With something as clean as that, nothing beats nothing 👍🏼
