No way to expand a list during a search
CompletedWhen I do a search or I click a tag to do a search I can no longer expand items found in that search. The little plus item is missing. This has really screwed up my writing workflow. When I write I create an outline with headers that have scene, chapter or act tags. I generally like to write with everything expanded so I can just scroll through my book or screenplay like normal, reading and writing as I go. But I use the tags to bring me back to my outline so I can navigate to different parts of my story.
The way it used to work was I would be writing on my expanded story like normal but then decide to change to a different scene. I would click on a scene tag or simply search for the tag. That would instantly allow me to see the outline of my story with the title of every scene. I could then expand a scene title, place my cursor inside and then hit the escape key to end the search. I would now be navigated to that scene inside my completely expanded story. It was a brilliant solution to writing within Workflowy. It allowed me to have a simple minimalistic single panel interface for a distraction free writing experience but with a simple search or click on a tag I could see my outline and navigate to any part of the document easily.
Please, please bring this feature back. I'm hoping its just a bug and not a feature change. Workflowy is the best tool for writers ever created. This bug or feature change has ruined one of the primary reasons Workflowy was so incredible.

Yes and no. Yes you can expand a searched item and work inside of it. That is fixed. But no it will not save your place if you leave the search.
The way it used to work was you did a search, you expanded an item, you placed your cursor inside of it, you hit escape to end the search and you were now navigated to wherever you put your cursor. There are lots of ways that this is useful but I used it as a way to move around a large document like a novel or a screenplay. A screenplay would have headings with the scenes nested inside of them. All the headings would be expanded so you were looking at one large document. The headings would have a scene tag that I could hit to do a search. The search would collapse all the headings. I could expand a heading in a completely different part of the document, place my cursor inside, hit escape and bam, all the headings are expanded again but I am now in a completely different part of the document.
Does that make sense? Even if you don't use it in this way, it's the way Workflowy should work. If you do a search and place your cursor in a different location, after you leave the search you should always end up in this new place.

I just realized that even if you don't change the cursor location you end up losing your place after a search. This is really bad. If I am working in the middle of a very long list and I do a search, when I leave search I have lost my place. Right now ending a search always puts the cursor at the top of the list, which is not good. Workflowy should always keep the cursor wherever it was during the search, exiting search should not change a thing. But at the very least it should go back to where it was before the search. Should I put this bug as a new thread?
