Speech to text does not work in Workflowy

I have an LG G4 running Android 6.0. I use the stock LG keyboard, which includes a microphone button. When I press the button, I can do speech to text. This works in all of my apps except for Workflowy. In Workflowy, when I press the microphone key, the keyboard just goes away and I am just looking at the Workflowy screen again. I use speech to text constantly, so this is very inconvenient.

Does anyone know how to fix or work around this problem? I submitted it as a bug report and it was suggested that I also post my question here to see if anyone had a combo of keyboard/Android OS that works, in the meantime.  Thank you.

  I have the same issue on my mobile device. I have not spent much time trying to resolve it but it is very unusual that I'm unable to voice type in and application?

  Hi Alan,

  Would you try changing your keyboard to see if it is the keyboard that is causing the issue?

  Yes I was going to followup here. Samsung Keyboard works (mostly) . When it's invoked as a voice keyboard and within the keyboard. But the Microsoft Swiftkey keyboard which bring up Google Voice input has not workwd for me. The Bixby key. Which invokes Samsung Voice does not work for me.
