Show/Hide Tags option
I'd like to be able to show and hide Tags, as we currently can with completed.
Would need another key command, and maybe a visual indicator on the bullet whether that node has tags assigned to it.
Hiding tags would improve the writing and editing of longform text, especially when compiled from heavily tagged nodes in different locations

Yes! Being able to hide/show tags would be an amazing feature that would allow the user to have a cleaner view of the core information.
Also, it would be nice that when "showed", tags appeared smaller and grayish, so not to clutter the real data of the written information. While also permitting adding a few more tags if we need to.
Sometimes I just don't add tags to make the text in a bullet shorter so they don't brake and split into two lines. That's not nice.
And now that WF is automatically centred in and not left aligned anymore, the lenght of lines became even shorter. Would be grat to be able to margin the whole document to the left margin so text lines can also be longer before they break to the line above.

Hi, I know this is an old post but I had the same issue and was able to find a workaround.
If you want to hide tagged items in your current list, go to the search bar and add a minus sign (-) before your tag.
Ex: I want to hide #blockers so in search, I type in -#blockers to hide them (it's tiny but there is a minus sign before that #).
This is explained in more detail from a blog post in 2012:

Hi Muxin,
Yes, that's the way to hide the nodes containing the tag. This will hide the whole bullet with all it's information. It's a handy way to assign a different view by filtering some items to a list.
This request nonetheless is regarding another different issue. We want to hide the tags themselves from the item line, so we don't have to see the #tags always. We want to make the tags invisible while still viewing all the rest of the information of the node. That while the node will keep his tags properties for filtering views, etc.
Also, would help a lot to unclutter the nodes from #tags, if the tag font style was smaller than the bullet text, and compressed, and in a lighter colour. That little hierarchization would make for much better legibility and functionality by differentiating distinct kind of information (the main content of the node from the #tag property).
