Full page width option
CompletedWould like to have an option use the full page width (or have a minimal design with full page width).
Would be especially useful for highly nested lists to avoid text wrapping of deeply nested siblings,

Hi Wilhelm,
I recommend you use the stylish chrome extention and there are several stylish extention that provide the full page width option.
[Stylus :: add0n\.com](https://add0n.com/stylus.html)
https://userstyles.org/styles/103816/workflowy-com-simple-and-bright
Of course you perhaps know this method and hope workfowy can support the funtions itself. Thanks for your suggestion.
A positive workflowy user from China.
Thanks

I appreciate that some users want larger margins for a simpler appearance. For me, displaying accessible information is more important. The present large margins can cause items to be word-wrapped unnecessarily, especially where you have many levels in the hierarchy. Easy and un-confusing access to information is more important, so I wouldn’t mind the smallest possible left and right margins. And the ability to them manually.

I would also like to have an option without the unnecessarily large margins. It's absurd that I have to size my window 30% larger than my content. It takes up extra desktop space for no reason other than it must be the preferred aesthetics of the developer. I would be so simple to include a setting to change this.
And why have the maximum possible width of the content set at only 700px? Makes no sense.

I agree with the previous comments about "full page width". In order to avoid the word-wrap for long items, I'm still using Workflowy version 1.0.15.0 until this day because it was the last version with the "full page width" option. Please allow us to choose a setting that supports our daily workflow. Thanks for all the hard-work Workflowy team!

What about a Full Width page toggle? Without the need to install a browser workaround…
It’s awful when you open WF in a public computer, without any browser workaround (yes, I have to use the Full Width one on my personal computer), without any possibility to install the workaround, and with a high screen resolution and all you see is a narrow document with a huge useless space on both sides.
I’m not a developer but this should be incredibly simple to implement, due to the fact that it’s pretty simple to download a browser extension and install. But please, please, don’t give me/us the last option as final. WF should do it natively. IMO.
Thanks for listening!

I've wanted this for a long time for reasons, some included above.
Today I went to look for something I had deleted by going to my dropbox backup (sure, probably some easier way than that) and so I downloaded the backup which I figured contained what I was looking for, opened the .txt file and was amazed at the affordances this full-width-view provides, and that's even without the nice page-wraps!
It allowed me to scan a huge amount of content simultaneously and therefore it can all be worked with in ones working memory. Compare this to scrolling where one's working mind is constantly being 'refreshed' emptying out old content to allow for the new content. While that is a super important affordance for some times of problems, other types of problems people try to solve require 'all the info on a single page' view.
+10 for a toggle button: normal/full-width views.

Now we happily can: Click Gear Icon > Settings > Experiment Features > Full width page > ON !!!!
Which is a huge improvement!! Thanks, WorkFlowy!!
The only bug now is that the left bar when toggled, gets on top of the WorkFlowy main content area, thus hiding the nodes data! Yes, that only happens when the "full-width page" experimental feature is on. This "full-width page" is a great feature so the lines can spread longer and they don't wrap. But the left margin of the WorkFlowy main content window should start where the right margin of the left bar ends! That way it would prevent the nodes and text get hidden behind the left bar.
Other solution would be that the main window (the one with the nodes) would be movable and automatically relocate itself to the right when the left bar is displayed.ps 1: I hope it's understandable what I am saying (without having to make it graphic)
ps 2: Sorry for crossposting but due to the subject it makes sense to repeat the request here, too.

Very glad to learn of this optional feature, as I was just trying out my brilliant brainstorm of an idea, which is to build a chess 'opening repertoire' in Workflowy, and I got 8 moves into my first opening and ran into the text-wrapping issue and went "Oh no!" But thanks to this thread turning up in a Google search, I am now in full page width mode and am back in business. Thanks!
