I must agree with Ryan, that the other way round (to add links after the text name) is required.
I believe the standard "Command+K" shortcut that makes it possible to add/edit the hyperlink would be the perfect solution, as users are already used to do that in other apps.

    Hi folks,

We're going to be implementing the link-editing counterpart soon: Adding links to text :-)

Just to propose an idea for this feature: allow the user to "paste" a URL directly onto text by using a dedicated shortcut (such as crtl+shift+v). This way you can quickly type an entry, select it, and directly add the URL from the clipboard.

Another idea would be to automatically retrieve the page title from the URL and use that as the default link text.

In almost all cases I don't want IP addresses or URI-like text to appear as link, as it makes it harder to work with them, and I accidentally click on them all the time.

Is there a way to remove/unlink a particular address (removing the link in that dialog doesn't seem to work)? Or even better, to completely disable auto-linking on my account?
