Hi Hemard,
Everyone has access... but it's kind of tucked away in your Settings... so go to your cog/gear icon top right of your desktop/ desktop browser app or the 3-dot menu bottom right of mobile > Settings > Scroll down to "Experimental features" and toggle "Left bar".
Currently it's available for desktop, desktop browser and Android :-)

I know we keep hearing that Dates and Reminders are coming, which sounds great.
I'm sure the Workflowy team will provide an excellent implementation (i.e. better than competitors) that will not get in the way when not used, and be really useful when used.
I don't know what the current plans are for Date support, but I wanted to mention that it would be great to have multiple date interpretations. For example, specifically having both a Start date and a Due date would be great. Most tools do not have a Start date, and lack this distinction between the two, but it is very important in project planning. For example, Michael Linenberger is a strong proponent of task management with Start dates separate from Due dates. His system works quite well, provided the tool supports two dates (and appropriate filtering). Org-mode has Scheduled dates, and Deadlines, which are also similar in spirit.
Thanks!

Hi Gerry,
I am hearing that reminders are not coming this year.

Which begs the question...what kinds of date tags? Since there are a multitude of ideas / solutions and implementations regarding date tagging, it would be nice to know which format will likely be supported. For example, I have been using the format #dyyyy-mm-dd, at teh sugggestion of a forum post....but since any text can be searchable within WF, it seems less useful to me.
Ultimately, it would be nice to know which direction the date filtering is likely to go, so we can prepare accordingly.

Ugh... dates are becoming more and more of an issue for me. The workarounds are clunky, at best. Any updates here? I thought I had heard that something on this front was happening before the end of the year (2019) and have held on by a hair waiting for a better date implementation. But, sadly, I'm about ready to jump ship myself, which is a shame. Been using WF since 2014.

Hi Nora,
It was indeed time for someone to follow-up on this thread. See: https://blog.workflowy.com/2019/12/30/dates-in-workflowy-try-it-out/, which I'm finding encouraging. And I'm crossing fingers for mobile notifications to come next!

Hands down Workflowy is the best outliner in the market and a lot of people using it to get things done.
From my experience as a PM, the most important thing with tasks is to put a schedule on it.
If Workflowy would allow moving certain bullets into an e.g. 3-day calendar view incl. hours (opt. synced; similar to the left bar nothing forced just optional), I believe this would be a gamechanger as people are so used to the calendar view and bullets for each day or date tags don't deliver the same experience/context.
From my outside view, Workflowy could further develop besides being the best outliner also being the best productivity suite across the strong competition.

I love workflowy. Minimalist, simple, reactive.
I organize a lot of stuff with this tool (job, personal life, associations managing...). As a lot of organized managers, one of my essential task is to PLAN :) I need dates, I need a calendar view... It's only this feature I miss and I hesitate to go pro (or to move to dynalist for this feature)
As a first step, could you please think about a simple feature allowing users to expose ICS format ? Like "https://workflowy.com/.../..../a_specific_bullet.ics" with all stuff found with dates under ? ICS format is standard, simple xml, and a lot of calendars can add an external ICS ^^
