Personal vs Work Accounts

On my end, I would not mind paying for two accounts, especially that there is a set of free bullets per month that would cover my needs.

What would be needed though, is a way to have multiple accounts within the same mobile app.

The reason is that, at work, I only want to log to the web site via my Desktop/Tablet so that only "work stuff" flows through my employer's screenings of web activity.  I work for an employer with high security and sometimes specific words used in my "personaly stuff" raises alarms at the security/compliance level.  For example if there is a screening for the term "pregnant" which I might in my "personal stuff", then loading my "work only" account while at work would not trigger the alarms and investigations or questioning from the employer.

So having a mobile app for my mobile phone where I could flip easily between the two accounts (different email addresses) would be EXTREMELY appreciated. Wouldn't mind paying for such feature also.  I am thinking of a feature like the Outlook app on Android where you can have multiple email accounts and see them all separately.

    Thank you !

Oups... Just thought of a solution for my part.  I will create a personal account with my "personal stuff".  And from my work account, I will share the main bullet to my personal account.  Therefore, while at work, only my work account will be logged in, with "Work stuff", and on my personal mobile phone then, through my personal account I should see the Work stuffed shared.

Should have thought of this before posting previous comment.  Others must have thought of this before.  Sorry for the bother!

Ok finally have to backtrack a bit... I created my second account.  But now if I don't want to pay for that second account, I will have to wait 3 months to upload the bullets that would go into that account... About 1500 of them.  Otherwise for the other account I have between 3000-5000 bullets, which would take even more months to upload.

I hope our Workflowy friends can come up with, or propose, some sort of win-win solution for all.

    Thanks !

If your second account is shared with your main account, you can do that first upload when logged into the main account

I think you'd still end up with any 'tags' being available across personal and work lists?

That's bad enough for me - if I'm doing personal stuff at home, I don't want to be reminded of work every time I decide to tag something!

I think the 2 accounts is probably the 'cleanest' option..

Maybe something like work-spaces that Asana has. Quickly switch between them without logging out and logging back in to another account.

Toggl time tracking also has this workspace paradigm.

I like the ability to switch home/work contexts.. and thus call it a "Paradigm Shift"  😜

Funny... my only 2 top-level bullets are “WORK” and “PERSONAL”, haha!

And the moment I started using hashtags I ended up at this page for the same reasons.

Zoning and separation is very important!

I share the need to have multiple accounts on Workflowy. Paying for them isn't my issue, but I would like to be able to use the app on mobile to access both accounts.

My reason is that the account I use for work-related items is something I'd like to be able to transfer to a colleague if I ever leave the company. Mixing it with my personal account would be tricky.

Also, I don't want my personal to do items to end up in caches and network traffic at my job, so even just having a separate 'work' section in my personal account and exporting that part selectively if the time comes to leave is not an optimal solution for me.

And finally, although I'm not currently doing so, I would like to be able to share a workflowy with my partner, but of course they don't want to share their personal workflowy with me, nor do I want to share mine with them. So, that's the need for a third account that I'd like to easily access (and switch between) from the app.

    So, no workspaces for now?
Guys, are you still using that workaround with sharing parent bullets?

+1 on this request please, if anyone from Workflowy is still looking at this!

I love Workflowy and am happy to pay for it, but I cannot afford two Pro accounts, and I need my Work bullets to be separated from my Personal. I know you can visually separate them by creating two top-level bullets, but this does not help when work notes are constantly popping up in search, backlink autocompletes, etc.

It would be ideal if there was a way to separate lists by opening them as something like different vaults, like in Obsidian.
