Open the API or be left behind

With AI being rapidly adopted, for the first time in 8 years, I am considering moving away from Workflowy. Not having an accessible API was inconvenient before, now it is rapidly becoming a deal breaker which makes me very sad. Please, allow us to control our accounts via API, or become obsolete.

Yes, to this I agree. I love the app, and how unopinionated it is, but I wish there was a way to be able to integrate simple automations

As a workaround, I have a python script which can parse the xml ompl export for the information I want.

I've used workflowy for 11 years. Every thought I've had in that time, all course notes, ideas - everything - is in mine. I cannot stand to think of moving away from workflowy, but the lack of an API to actually do things with all my content is really doing so. I'm beginning to think I'll have to make a personal clone of the functionality for my own use cases.

Please provide even a just a limited public API. It could do nothing more than GET and POST to specific URL hash-paths that we hardcode into our projects. We don't need any complex functionality or any other features.

For info in case you missed it, there is a 5-yr old feature request for an API which is the 3rd highest voted request and has never gone anywhere - besides occasional comments from WF that it's on a list somewhere but not a priority. https://workflowy.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/201100295-API
