Not marking To-Do text as complete when marking To-Do as complete

It would be nice if completing a To-Do item by selecting the checkbox did not also mark the to-do's text or the child text below it as complete (see screenshot below).

The check box clearly indicates that the task has been completed. Marking the text as complete as well just makes it harder to read.

It might be possible to make this do/do not complete to-do text when marking to-do as complete an option that can be turned on or off.
