You can filter items with date tags using specific dates, natural language or date ranges.

Filter using specific dates

Workflowy currently only uses the US date format month/day/year

1. Click on the search bar
2. Type a specific date
   • All items with that specific date will be shown

You can use the following specific date formats:

MM = month, DD = day, YY = year, HH = hour, mm = minute

MM/DD, MM-DD

MM/DD/YY, MM-DD-YY

MM/DD/YYYY, MM-DD-YYYY

date:MM/DD

date:MM/DD@HH:mm

date:MM/DD/YYYY

Example: date:10/05@5:00

Example: 10/05/2022

Filter using natural language

You can use natural language to search for dates.

Natural language searches are not case-sensitive.

1. Click on the search bar
2. Type a natural language date
   • All items with that specific date will be shown

You can use the following natural language to filter dates:

Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday

This week, Next week, Last week

This month, Next Month, Last Month

This year, Next year, Last year

Filter a date range

You can filter items that have date tags within a range of dates.

1. Click on the search bar
2. Type a date range
   • All items that fall within that specific date will be shown

MM/DD - MM/DD
MM/DD/YY - MM/DD/YY
MM/DD/YYYY - MM/DD/YYYY

Items with date tags before a date

MM = month, DD = day, YY = year, HH = hour, mm = minute

Before today
date:past

Before a specific date

date-before:MM/DD/YYYY

Example: date-before:10/05/2021

Items with date tags after a date

MM = month, DD = day, YY = year, HH = hour, mm = minute

After today
date:future

After a specific date
date-after:MM/DD
