You can share any item within Workflowy.
When you share an item, the bullet will have a blue ring, this lets you know the item is being shared.
Each item can have its own permissions, the permissions for the nested items will be the same as the bullet that contains them.
Note - People that view shared items do not need to log in or have a Workflowy account unless you invite them specifically via email.
Sharing from the bullet menu
- Open the bullet menu for the item that you want to share
- Click on 'Share' in the bullet menu
- From here you can choose to create a secret link or share with individuals using their email addresses

- Zoom into the item you want to share
- Open the settings from the menu bar
- Click on 'Share' from the settings menu
- From here you can choose to create a secret link or share with individuals using their email addresses
Inviting specific people
You can invite users to access an item using their email address.
Each user you invite can have their own permissions and you can change them at any moment.
You can remove a user you invite at any moment.
- In the sharing window, enter the email of a person you want to share with
- Click and choose the permissions for that person from the dropdown
- Click on the Invite button
- You will see the text 'invited' next to the email of invited users
- The invited user will receive an email inviting them to signup
- Once the user creates an account, the text will read 'accepted'
Creating a secret link
- In the sharing window, click on 'Enable link sharing'
- Choose the sharing permissions
- Click 'Copy link'
- Share the link with people you want to have access

You can edit sharing permissions at any time.
Full access - Users can edit and share the content
Can edit - Users can edit but not share the content
Can view - Users can view but not edit the content

I first tried sharing via email addresses and found that people were unwilling to create a Workflowy account just to view a link. It was not clear to me until now that sharing a secret link makes it unnecessary to create an account to view the link.
