Image and file attachments

Users would like to be able to attach images and files to Workflowy items.  For images, many users would like to be able to embed them into the page view.

Even adding a Dropbox link would be a great start, so that files could be associated with items.

I organize my tasks by client and it would be great to be able to drop in a picture of the person next to the person's name (I admit I sometimes get my clients mixed up).

Is this being added? I'm finding myself googling and finding all the missing features I want (dates, attachments, links) have been brought up by you guys over a year and a half ago! Is Workflowy still being developed?

yes please. I'm using workflowy for organizing plans/ideas for improvements to a facebook game, we have been using bulleted lists in google docs so Workflowy is soooo much better... except that I can't paste in an image? :/

With the possibilty of capturing and adding images to notes, I would not need other apps for my notes.

Same here! I can't completely abandon Evernote/Apple Notes until I can save images directly into workflowy. Even if they don't show up in the main list UI, maybe a little side-bar with an "attachments" reference?

I am just adding to the request here! This would make Workflowy so much more of a complete planning tool if I could attach files to a project outline. Thank you!!

In the meantime, I use the app "Clip to Worflowy" that you can get here. Just click on the icon and the link is copied to the clipboard and paste in the note in Workflowy. Been doing this for a week now and I feel I (almost) add images to my notes …

While I also would like the support of Images and file attachments I fear that a bad implementation of these features would make Workflowy less simple. Therefore I applaud the slower-paced way the Workflowy-Team is approaching the implementation of such big features.

Please, don't add stuff that makes me have to decide weather I want to add an image or file in this or that way. Also don't make it in a way that messes up the clarity of the Workflowy experience.

The great strength of Workflowy is its simplicity. Don’t ever forget that! I think many other tools (like Evernote) have overcrowded their software and therefore are not any good (For me a least).

I feel I'm in good hands with you guys.

I read Tobias's comment with interest. I agree with him.

The way I solved my problem, and I am satified, is by using Clip to Workflwy to copy the URL of a photograph stored in Google Photo and coying it to my Workflowy. When I need to see the image, it is instantaneous. A good working arrangement. I feel no more need to add images to my Workflowy.

I use workflowy to collect ideas and inspiration. Because inspirations are often visual I would really appreciate image support.

When I want to include an attachment with my Workflowy note I include the URL in my note where the attachment is located. You have to be logged into the app (like Dropbox, Google Docs or any email account etc.) or it will ask you to login before displaying the attachment.

If I want to keep track of a scheduled item like a meeting, birthday or anniversary etc. I past all the details into a Workflowy note and precede the note with date and time in the following format 160823p1241 (which represents August 23, 2016 at 12:41 PM) and then search on 1608 for all scheduled items in August 2016 or search on 160823 for all scheduled items on August 23, 2016.

This has been my biggest request. If I could add images or even create a view portal that links to a dropbox or google drive file would make this fantastic!
